The first day, June 25th (Tue) 2:00 PM, with beginning of the Film Music Competition, the film music composer, Jun Sung Kim who is famous of the movie “KwangHae” and “King’s woman” will give a lecture with the topic of “About the film music.” In addition, several pieces worked by appointed composers, TaeamKo, Yongchul Oh, CheonheeChoi, Japanese composer, and Wolfgang Liebhart from Austria will be performed at 7:30 PM with the name of “The Invitation Concert for The Trombonist, Barrie Webb(UK)”
The second day, June 26th (Wed), the workshop “Works from Austria composer, Wolfgang Liebhart” has been scheduled at 10:00 AM. There will be the Invitation Concert from the CUN, Chinese Traditional Music Performers at 2:00 PM encompassing a wide range of Chinese traditional cultures and modern music. At 4:00 PM, DCMF ensemblewill provide the performance with a topic of “Meeting with Masters of Contemporary Music.” In this time, the representative works by several composers who should be studied for analysis of the contemporary music flow will be played. The ensemble ALPA from Japan will perform the new pieces from the appointed composers, Inyong Na, Yoonseok Lee, Sungchul Shin, Japanese composer, and Wolfgang Liebhart.
The trombonist, Barrie Webb will give a presentation with a topic of “Modern Instrument – Trombone” on the last day, June 27th (Thu) at 10:00 AM. This lecture will cover the new techniques and sounds for the trombone. There will be the discussion time at 2:00 PM among composers with young composersafter the pieces of contest have played at 4:00 PM. Several orchestra works from Jongeuk Woo, Joonghee Kim, Eunhae Park, Dohoon Lee, Beomki Kim, and composers from HongKong will be performed at 7:30 PM with the name of “The International Opera Orchestra Invitation Concert”
We have now opened a section called 'Magazine'. In the magazine the DCMF introduces the latest news, concert information and preparatory details about the festival.
In the magazine section there are videos of contemporary music performances by Korean musicians, international composers. The introductions of these
video's is with Violinist Kim, Ji-Hye and Musicologist Shin, Hye-Su.
